D-Groups are small, intentional communities where students deepen their faith, grow in accountability, and develop spiritual disciplines through scripture, prayer, and fellowship. Rooted in App Wesley’s mission, these groups equip students to live as disciples of Jesus and multiply disciple-makers.

Structure & Format
- Size: 3-5 students per group, led by a trained peer leader
- Frequency: Weekly gatherings (60-90 minutes)
- Duration: One semester (with the option to continue)
- Core Pillars: Scripture, Accountability, Spiritual Growth, Prayer, and Discipleship Multiplication

Historical Background: John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, established a system of small groups in the 18th century to encourage accountability and spiritual growth. These groups, known as "class meetings," were designed to provide a space where individuals could share their faith journeys, receive encouragement, and be held accountable for their spiritual disciplines. The success of these groups played a significant role in the Methodist movement's spread and influence.
At App Wesley, we continue this tradition through Discipleship Groups (D-Groups), creating a space for students to engage in scripture, build authentic relationships, and grow in their faith. Our model draws inspiration from Wesley’s original small group structures while incorporating modern approaches such as the SOAP Bible Study method and accountability practices.
Purpose: Wesley Small Groups exist to create intentional spaces for students to explore faith, build meaningful relationships, and engage in discipleship. These groups are designed to be welcoming, discussion-based, and centered on scripture and shared experiences.

- Scripture Discussion – Following the SOAP (Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer) method.
