  • A service trip that will be a blessing to the Lumberton community who has been impacted by two major hurricanes recently.

WHAT IS THIS TRIP ALL ABOUT?
Lumberton, NC, has experienced extreme devastation by flood damage related to Hurricane Matthew and Hurricane Florence. We are going to support the ongoing relief efforts that are taking place in that community. They need all the help they can receive from volunteers who are willing to commit their time and energy. 

WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?
We will be working with the United Methodist Commission On Relief (UMCOR) who will be directing our relief work. They have been working in the community for several years and will continue to be present while their support is need. All of our tools and supplies will be provide by UMCOR. 

WHERE WILL WE BE STAYING?
Lumberton, North Carolina.  We will be staying at the Trinity House that is set up for housing UMCOR volunteers, which is located at 309 Trinity Street, Fairmont, NC 28340 just south of Lumberton. This is a two story house with bunk beds in the bedrooms, bath rooms, living room, and full kitchen where we will be fixing our meals.

Pillow
Sleeping bag or sheets (we're in bunk beds)
Work clothes
Close toed shoes
Hat
Comfortable clothes / shoes
Toiletries
Musical instruments or games
